World Affairs Councils of America
presents
Academic WorldQuest™
April 4, 2009 |
 |
WHO?
A team of 4 high school students: freshman, sophomores, juniors, or seniors. It is helpful if the contestants are from one high school, thereby representing their school, council, and city. Each team needs to have a chaperone who may be a teacher, a parent, or a council staff member. |
WHAT?
There will be 10 rounds. Each round will have 10 multiple choice questions. A prominent moderator will present these questions by PowerPoint. Teams then confer to reach a single answer. Each round is thematically different from the other rounds. This year, we are partnering with the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) Global Strategy Institute. We have modeled seven of the ten categories off of Erik Peterson’s Seven Revolutions initiative. This initiative looks at the impact of key global trends into the year 2025. To find out more information about the initiative, please visit the Seven Revolutions website
